Animals available for adoption through the MCSPCA have been spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, given all appropriate shots and preventative treatments and tested for temperament. Each Furry friend is in need of a loving home and can be adopted by contacting the MCSPCA at 732-542-0040.

"Queenie" is a very lovely 8-1/2 years old spayed female dachshund. She was turned in because the husband died and the wife couldn’t take care of him any longer. She loves all people and seems to get along with dogs and cats. She enjoys lying in your lap and just resting her head on you. She is energetic, but also very affectionate.

"Snowball" is 2-1/2 years old, and has been at the shelter since June. This love bug enjoys belly rubs and gives hugs and kisses. He also gets along with dogs and cats. Snowball is waiting for the person that will just stop and notice how awesome he is.

"Katie" is a black and white terrier mix who we think is about 2 years old. She came in as a very dirty and very skinny stray. Luckily she likes baths and also likes to eat so now she's pretty and clean and getting to her ideal weight very quickly. She is very sweet and mellow and walks great on a leash. She solicits attention and affection from humans but also gets along great with other dogs. Katie would love a forever home with lots of love and a big fluffy bed.

"Albert" is a blue and white terrier mix and we think he is about 4 years old. Albert was rescued by a policeman who found him chained to a lamppost. He had on an extremely heavy chain with several padlocks. He was emaciated, had an eye infection and a tumor. The good news is that Albert doesn't hold a grudge. He loves everyone he meets including other dogs. Albert is doing well at the shelter - he had his tumor removed, he was neutered and he's gaining weight. Albert is mellow and likes to explore outside on his walks. He loves attention and leans into you for petting. He would really love a backyard to explore and a big couch to sleep on.

"Kittens" - Kitten season is beginning and four of them were abandoned on a vet hospital’s doorstep. These cuties are only eight weeks old.

"Chato" is a very happy 1-1/2 year old boxer. He loves to play and knows how to sit. He loves to play ball and would benefit from a fenced in yard where he can run and play.

"Lady" came in with her “sister Abbey” are very sweet girls. They are very bonded and would love to be adopted together. They are products of a cruelty situation. The owner was living in a tent and had these dogs as well as cats, bunnies and ducks. She didn’t have the money to take care of them, and these girls were very matted, and their toe nails were very long. Lady shows signs of a possible broken leg that had to heal by itself. Because their teeth are so worn down, it’s hard to tell how old they are.

"Abbey" came in with “Lady” These two girls lived outside while their owner was living in a tent. Since Abbey wasn’t on heartworm preventative, she did get heartworms which we are now treating her for. These girls are very devoted to each other and would love to live together the rest of their days. They came in so matted and their toe nails were very long. Because their teeth are so worn down, it’s hard to tell how old they are.

"Dede" is a beagle who was born with birth defect on her head. She is a healthy, happy, and loving dog looking for a good home. Her owners surrendered her when that got divorced.

"Robert" is a 1-1/2 yr. old neutered male boxer. He is very playful. Robert may be ok with another dog. Come on down and meet this happy fellow.

"Fluffy" is a 10 year old neutered male Bischon. Poor Fluffy belonged to someone who didn’t have time for him, and then he lived with a woman that had to go into a nursing home so he moved in with his last family that decided he wasn’t the dog for them either. Now Fluffy is awaiting his new family who will let him live out his golden years. He gets along with children and other dogs. Do you think you can give this senior gent the home he deserves?

"Sara" is a 6 month old Terrier mix. This little girl was found as a stray. Would you like to give this sweet, friendly girl a warm home to call her own?

"Monday" is a 1-1/2 year old Terrier mix. She gets along with other dogs and likes to play with them. She also knows sit, and will respond quickly. Wouldn’t you want a Monday of your own?

"Chico" is a 6-1/2 yr. Chihuahua mix. This little guy lived with another dog and also with a cat. He is now seeking a home with adults or older children that can respect his size.

"Moose" is an 8 month old yellow lab. He was surrendered by his owner because they didn’t have time for him. He is housebroken and crate trained.

"Buddy" is a 6 yr. old golden retriever. He’s a happy go lucky boy who would like to be an only pet so he gets all the attention. This boy lost his home after a fire, and the family found a place to go but, “no dogs allowed”.

"Dozer" is an 8 yr. old Beagle/Bassett that is looking for a home. He’s a slow moving fella that would like a nice quiet home for his golden years. Could you be the one to give this senior the love he deserves?

"Miss Boots" is a very friendly young lady. She is a about a year and a half old, and simply stunning. She is one of the nicest cats you’ll ever meet.

"Teddy" is an 8 month old Schnoodle(schnauzer/poodle mix). He was surrendered by his owner because he worked long hours and had other dogs to take care of. Teddy is crate trained, housebroken and is very good with children. Just imagine how cute he’ll look with a hair cut.

"Skippy" is a busy bee, 4 yr. old altered male schipperke mix. He is an active fellow. Skippy likes to play with toys and likes all the people he meets. If you have energy, and a quiet home, this boy might be the one for you.

"Jake" is a 7 month old Jug(Jack Russell/Pug). He was surrendered by his owner because the owner can’t physically take care of it.

"Abby" is a 10 yr. old spayed female cocker spaniel. She just arrived at the shelter and would much prefer a home. Abby is very friendly and would do best as an only dog so she could get all the attention in her senior years.

"Sam" is a 3 year old Dalmatian Mix. He is very friendly and outgoing. Sam gets along well with other dogs. He was surrendered to the shelter because his previous owner moved to an apartment that would not allow pets. Sam has not let that break his spirits. He is housebroken and would make a nice family pet.

"Gidget" is a 2-1/2 year old beautiful Australian Silky Terrier. She loves all people and other dogs. She is housebroken, walks very nicely on a leash and does a lovely little dance on her hind legs for you. She has an amazing personality and would be a wonderful addition to any family.

"Amber"
lab/terrier mix was surrendered to another shelter because she didn't get along
with their other dog. She's 4 yrs. old and already spayed. Amber is a little
chunky and isn't much into the active lifestyle. She would love to get a belly
rub and watch tv with you though.

"Blackie" is a little four month old lab mix. Possibly some spaniel mixed in. He's very friendly, and would benefit from training. Blackie would do best in an adult only home where the people could devote the time to train him. He's very smart, but his former owners worked all day and didn't have time to work with him.

"Freeway" is a great dog. He is a lab mix about a a year and a half old. He walks nice on a leash and is mellow boy. He would do best as an only pet, where he can have all your attention. If you are looking for a great companion, come on down and meet this boy.

"Cookie" is an 2-1/2 year old sheltie mix with one blue eye. She is very sweet and calm. She is also housetrained and gives kisses.
It would be nice if she could go home with Princess. They are both housebroken and good with other dogs.

"Princess" is a 2-1/2 yr. old Jack Russell mix. She is small and lively. She is also very cute. She lived with Cookie in her last home and would love to go to a new home with her. She is also sweet and friendly, just like her bigger “sister”.

Couch Potato "Billy" is a large American Bulldog who's about 7 years old. He's a calm, mellow, and friendly guy who knows "sit", "stay", "come", and "paw".
He is very well-behaved and would love to have a new family soon. Billy
is neutered, and would prefer a quiet home.

"Inky" is a 7 year old shih-tzu. She wants you to know that the shih-tzus’ have taken over the shelter, and they all want homes now. They are owner surrenders. Come on in and take a look at these girls.

"Fred" is a 4 yr. old male shih-tzu. Although some of the shih-tzus have found homes, there are still a few of us left…. Come on down and meet us. If I’m not there, I’m sure one of my brothers or sisters will be. We are friendly and loveable and look much better now that we are groomed.

"Pokey" is and adorable 3 year old male Chihuahua. He is incredibly lovable and sweet. He would do best in an adult home only or older teens that won’t rough house with him. He’ll follow you every where you go and loves to be snuggled with and carried around. He would make a wonderful companion if you are looking for a dog with a big heart.

"Wizard" is a handsome 5 year old neutered male American Fox Hound. He is incredibly sweet and friendly to everyone he meets. Wizard loves children and other dogs too. He just loves to be with people and go for walks. Wizard likes attention so someone who is around to keep him company would be best.

"Gracie" is a shepherd/boxer mix. She is a spayed female about 2 years old. Gracie loves people and knows how to sit. She would love to be with you all the time. Gracie would benefit from training as she pulls on a leash. If you’re looking for a girl who would be looking forward to seeing you, this would be the one.

"Peter" the Beagle is 8 years old. He’s an altered male that was an original stray in another shelter, and is now at the Monmouth County SPCA looking for a new home. He is a little anxious, and would benefit from a quiet home that could help build his confidence. He is friendly with all the people he has met including children.

"Buddy" is a 8 month old male fox hound. He loves everyone, knows “sit”, “down”, “come” and “stay”. He has an incredibly sweet personality and loves to play. Are you looking for an outgoing young man to keep you busy? That would be Buddy!

"Rutkus" is possibly a boxer lab mix is 1-1/2 yrs. old and already neutered. He was brought to the shelter when the landlord said no pets. He is a “go getter” who loves to play and knows some commands such as sit, down and paw. Because of his enthusiasm, he would do best in an adult only home or one with older teens. He’d also benefit from continued obedience training.

"Forrest" a lab mix is a 1-1/2 yr. old lab mix. He’s active and playful and considered the “life of the party”. He’s a high energy dog that would benefit from obedience training as he pulls a bit
on the leash. He would also do best with older teens or teenagers because of his energy level.

"Petey" the rottie/shepherd mix is 3-1/2 yrs. old and already neutered. He's a really nice boy who is friendly and outgoing, and loves to play. He likes being in the pool too. He also knows how to "sit" when you ask. Petey was surrendered to the shelter in March, because he was caught running loose too many times. Come on down and meet this fine fellow.

"Ralphie" the Pomeranian is a gentle boy over 8 yrs. old. He’s very friendly and seems to get along with other dogs. He is quiet and likes to be with people. Ralph will be getting a dental done when he is neutered. Come on down and visit Ralph. He won’t be here long.

"Heather" is a shy young girl. She is a 2 year old Sharpei/Hound mix. She was an original stray that is now looking for a home who will love her for the beauty that she is. She has a face you can’t resist and she looks so cute when her little tongue sticks out. Do you think you have a quiet home that could build up her confidence?
